LED PCB refers to the printed circuit boards used for LED industry with various products, LEDs were soldered on PCB to created lighting electronic products, since LEDs will generate more heat compared with other electronic parts, which requires the PCB have better ability for dissipating heat, so the metal core PCB are frequently used for LED application, especially Aluminum PCB, because Aluminum PCB typically includes a thin layer of thermally conductive dielectric material that can transfer and dissipate the heat with much greater efficiency than a conventional rigid FR4 PCB.
PCB LED lights can be incorporated into numerous lighting applications due to their combination of excellent energy efficiency, low cost and maximum design flexibility. Examples include street lighting, highway tunnel lighting, traffic and signal lighting, automotive headlights, airport landing lights, operating room direct lighting, post top lamps and many others.
Basically for high-power LED applications, the better choice is metal core PCB especially aluminum PCB with good thermal performance, but for low-power LED applications, FR4 PCB, CEM1 PCB or CEM3 PCB can also meet demands.
